Welcome to The Children’s Center, where every child is valued, nurtured, and encouraged to grow. Since our founding, we have been committed to creating a safe, family-like environment where children can learn, explore, and thrive. Our team of caring and experienced educators partner with families to ensure that every child’s early years are filled with joy, curiosity, and discovery.
At The Children’s Center, we understand that every stage of childhood is unique. That’s why our programs are designed around age-specific needs.
Gentle care, sensory play, and first discoveries in a nurturing environment.
Exploration, language building, and motor skills development through play.
Early literacy, problem-solving, and creativity to prepare for school success.
Safe, structured space for homework help, play, and continued social growth.
Founded with a vision to create a home-like environment where children can thrive, The Children’s Center has been serving families in our community for years. Our journey began with a simple belief: that every child deserves the best possible start in life.
Over the years, we have grown not just in size, but in our understanding of what makes quality early childhood education. We’ve built a team of passionate educators who share our commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering a love of learning.

Our preschool program has four dedicated classes
Children typically start preschool around age 3, but we accept children from infancy through preschool, depending on developmental readiness.
Readiness includes signs like comfort separating from parents, interest in playing with others, and curiosity about learning and trying new things.
We use The InvestiGator Club® curriculum, which focuses on early literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development through hands-on, play-based learning.
Yes! The Children's Center is committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children of all abilities, including children with special needs and autism. Our teachers are qualified early childhood educators; however, we do not have staff specifically certified in special education or specialized autism services. We encourage families whose children require specialized developmental, behavioral, or therapeutic support to explore available resources through Maryland's early intervention programs, local school systems, or other qualified service providers. We welcome collaboration with parents, therapists, and other professionals supporting a child's development. When appropriate, we can also accommodate an approved, dedicated support professional who accompanies a child during their time at our center. Our goal is to work collaboratively with families to understand each child's individual needs and identify reasonable accommodations that support their participation, development, and well-being.
Absolutely. We encourage families to schedule a tour to see our classrooms, meet our teachers, and learn more about our approach to early childhood education.
